POLICIES FOR ALL TRIPS   IMPORTANT INFORMATION!

DEPOSITS: A $500 deposit is required to reserve a place on any expedition. With full payment due no later than 90 days prior to departure. We ask for a $1000 deposit (or more) for custom and private trips.

PAYMENTS: A personal check, cashier’s check, wire transfer or money order payable to Adventures International are all acceptable. We also accept major credit cards. Wire Transfer info: Contact our office .

REFUNDS: In the event you decide not to go or are unable to go on your trip, the following guidelines will apply. 121 days or more before expedition: 100% refund of all payments and deposits. 61 to 120 days before expedition: 50% refund of all payments and deposits.  0 to 60 days before expedition: no refund of any payments and deposits. This policy has been established based on pre-departure requirements.  As the expedition approaches food needs to be purchased and packed, hotel reservations made, guides hired, plane tickets purchased for the guides, transportation reserved, group equipment organized and packed and logistics planned for a certain size group. This represents a fair refund policy considering costs incurred prior to any trip. If an expedition or trek ends early, due to safety concerns, accident, illness, or weather there will be no refund. If you have not paid in full by 90 days prior to departure, and you have not contacted us concerning other payment options, we may have to schedule someone else in your place. In this case Adventures International will not be liable for costs associated with this policy.

IF THE EXPEDITION IS CANCELED: If for any reason Adventures International has to cancel your trip, all payments will be refunded in full, or fully transferable towards another trip, this represents Adventures International’s full liability in this event.

TRIP DATES: All trip departure and arrival dates are just that, dates to plan arrival in and departure from the starting city of the country we will visit. If you would like to spend more time before or after the trip, make your reservations accordingly. Always a good idea travelling to other countries to arrive a day earlier in case of missed connections or late baggage arrival.

LIABILITY WAIVER: All participants will be required to sign a liability release. This is a requirement of our insurance policy. This acknowledges that you understand and accept the hazards and risks of mountaineering, trekking and traveling in a foreign country and are medically fit for the trip you have chosen.

MEDICAL INSURANCE: All expedition participants are completely responsible for all medical and hospital costs, including all associated rescue, evacuation, and transportation costs. Please take time to review your medical insurance policy carefully to be sure it will cover you in the country where the expedition is taking place and will cover rescue and evacuation costs, as well as transportation in an emergency back to the United States in the event your original ticket will not work. Many policies, for a small additional fee, will cover you during the course of stay abroad. Keep in mind, helicopter evacuation costs can reach over $10,000! (Also see travel insurance recommendation below).

PLEASE NOTE: Adventures International is not responsible for any medical, hospital, doctor, rescue, evacuation, or associated transportation costs. We will assist you with any emergency logistics in the event of problems.

TRAVEL INSURANCE: Adventures International highly recommends a travel insurance policy to cover, in the unlikely event of its occurrence, any theft of personal belongings, problems with plane tickets, personal or medical emergencies, emergency rescue and evacuation, or to protect your payments and deposits from any unforeseen necessity to cancel your expedition at the last minute. For options, contact All Trip Insurance: www.AllTripInsurance.com. (you can follow the link on our website). The American Alpine Club also offers high altitude rescue insurance for climbing and trekking, call 303-384-0110 or visit their website www.americanalpineclub.org for details.
