Aconcagua Expedition Reports 2003

December 12th, 2002
Off to Argentina for our Aconcagua season. Daymond Hoffman, Michael Ahmuty, Chris Kerrick , John Rust and I will be leading our Aconcagua and Patagonia trips this year. Daymond will be leading the first trip Dec 14th with a crew of 7 total. There down in Mendoza right now sorting food and getting things set to go. Reports from Argentina are that things have stabilized quite a bit from the turmoil of last season and the currency devaluation. Always a great place to spend part of the northern winter, down south where its summer! Daymond, Chris and Myself will be checking in periodically with satellite phone reports we'll post here on the site. Ciao for now!  Scott Woolums

The 2003 Season
Via Our Upper Vacas Route
We have 6 guides going down this year for a series of trips starting in December 14th to February 14th. All our trips leave via the unique Upper Vacas Valley Route. This is the perfect way to stay away from the crowds of the Polish, Falso and Ruta Normal. Absolutely pristine valley, protected camps, lots of Huanacos.  A true feeling of being alone in the mountains!
