Climbing in East Greenland
A unique trip into the glaciers of East Greenland to explore one of several areas. In 1997 we visited the 19th of September Glacier area and did a couple first ascents. Granite towers stretch for hundreds of miles to the north! Our standard trip involves taking a boat to access a new hut off the Tasiilaq Fiord, then either climbing in this area, or skiing out to another glacier system to the north. Truly a unique and remote corner of Earth! A more fascinating and exotic place to climb would be hard to imagine!
