Kilimanjaro Climb and Safari
We meet in Arusha, Tanzania for the classic African experience. First we climb Kilimanjaro via the Shira route, an 8-day trek to the main "Uhuru" summit, "Roof of Africa", at 19,344 ft. This route offers the best non-crowded approach to Kilimanjaro. We spend time acclimatizing along the rim of the Shira Plateau, which is a spectacular ancient volcanic crater near Kilimanjaro. It provides excellent acclimatization for our summit day. After the climb, we take a well-deserved rest in Arusha, followed by the classic African Safari. We visit 5 different National Parks and Game Reserves: The Serengeti, Nogorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Tarangiri and Arusha Parks.Guaranteed to see an incredible collection of wildlife along the way.
