The Cordillera Blanca and Alpamayo
The ultimate trek into the Cordillera Blanca with climbs of several peaks in the area including Alpamayo and Pisco. Excellent trekking, weather and camping highlight this unique adventure. Outstanding views of all the primary mountains rise directly above our trekking route including Huascaran, Alpamayo, Piramide de Garcilaso, Artesonraju, Huandoy, Chacraraju, and many other peaks over 20,000 ft. We use burro/mule support for the trek to our base camps, and climb Pisco as acclimatization for Alpamayo. We usually have time for climbing another peak, Huandoy Norte or Quitaraju. We also get a spectacular look into the Llanganuco, Huarupampo, and Santa Cruz Valleys while trekking. This is the perfect way to see the very best of the Cordillera Blanca region.
